Nested loops
A story you open and do not finish, so that everything told inside it — including the commands — is filed as belonging to that story.
Nested loops occupy working memory. The listener tracks ‘what happens to the man in February’ and stops tracking ‘what is being done to me.’ That is not a trick for its own sake. It moves the critical faculty onto a story, so the replacement behavior can be tried on in someone else’s body first. Emotion builds around a landscape they chose to enter. By the time a loop closes, they have already rehearsed the new move.
They get a change they did not have to agree to in advance. They get a behavior installed as a scene they can remember, not a slogan they can argue. They get one thread that keeps teaching after you stop talking. They get to attach to a story that is not a confession, so dignity stays intact.
Open largest → open next → put scenes and commands in the middle → close out of order (or return to the first sensory place) → leave one thread running.
Stop arranging a person. Stillness, company, her pace, the gap, a boundary as a key, five open hands. Want stays. Arranging leaves. One clock is never agreed upon.
What the openings do
Each opening hands the listener a landscape that rhymes with a failure of his — without using his name. Groundhog for arranging. Radio for chasing a signal. Notebook for improving her words. Fort for reaching. Tombstone for drawing first. Then the inner stories open as the real work: cathedral, bees, gap, keys, roof, gun, baton, rivers.
What the closures do
Each close delivers the verb of that story as already true. Close E first so stillness is the first thing that gets to be real. Close A last so the four hours after a fast decision are the last fire, not the first. The rest land in between, out of sequence, so no loop is a chapter with a moral stapled to the end.
Why this close-order
If you close in the order you opened, the conscious mind writes a syllabus. Close out of order and the installs compound without a table of contents. Stillness first. The cathedral last. The clocks never.
What it does to the reader
He spends two hours inside other people’s days. By the time his own eight days are named, they are already someone else’s solved problem. The unfinished clocks follow him out of the room.
Never closed · do not explain
A loop left open at the end is not a mistake. An unfinished thread keeps working after the room is empty. The mind will complete it in their own kitchen, with their own images, which is the only completion that sticks. You leave open the one truth they would argue with if you named it, or the one object that must stay a mystery so it cannot be turned into a tip.
Openings — press to hear them
Each button is a loop opening. Press it to see the opening, the timing, the emotion, the conscious and unconscious messages, the intensity, why it comes first or later, what opens after it, and how it closes — or does not.
Name. Return the verdict. Unreplied test. Keep the want. Hand back the pace. Void if monitored.

New Gravity
Film climate · John Carter
Reframe. Old muscle on a lighter planet is leaping, not failure. New gravity, same body. To the person: The part that thinks the old effort should produce the old result in a new room.
The opening
A man wakes with the strength of a world that no longer applies, and the first three steps throw him into the air.
Timing
Act 1, with the inner days beginning. Open beat on Loop D’s floor.
Why placed here
He will measure the new relationship with old muscle and call the result decline. Recalibrate before the cathedral.
Emotion elicited
Disorientation, then the laugh of leaping too far, then competence.
What it communicates
New room, same body, different gravity. Do not punish the leap.
Conscious message
John Carter. Old muscle on a lighter planet is leaping, not failure.
What they think they are hearing.
Unconscious message
The planet changed. Recalibrate. Then leap. You are not weaker.
What is actually being filed.
Intensity of the message · Build
The work. Scenes stack. Emotion attaches to a story that is not quite theirs.
Priority — why this message now
Protects the later install of heat intact / vessel new (Cort). Gravity first, fire second.
Scenes inside this opening and close
The later roof leaving Delft lives inside this new gravity.
What opens after
Avatar so seeing does not become possessing once he has his strength back.
