Clock / day / Tuesday

Metaphor: A day that will not advance. Two hundred clocks that disagree. A clock that runs backward. The sixteenth as weather.
To the person: The part that will not live until the clocks match, and so is early to grief and late to joy.
How it generates change: Late is not wrong. A woman can be on time among disagreeing clocks. The day ends when the sequence ends, not when the alarm is outsmarted.

Eight Days

A clock sweats onto lacquer and is not the match.
Two hundred clocks disagree. A woman is on time.
The Tuesday stops repeating the way a song stops: more air, no announcement.
